There were 20 women in attendance for the March mtg. held in the Barn.
We remembered Pam Clum in her loss with a condolence card and donations.
Jaylene donated several log cabin squares in reds and blues which the group began sewing into a quilt. Perhaps for the AFCEA scholarship program
At Melanie's suggestion for a new project to begin this year with, about 20 patriotic scrappy squares were produced by the ladies which were sewn into a quilt for the Fisher House. Sandy Todd donated batting and Sarah Shell donated sashing for the quilt. The Fisher House is a private-public partnership that supports America's military.
The quilt the group donated to Doggone Pets in 2011 raised $275.00
To date the group has sewn 282 pillowcases towards the Million Pillowcases project in which we are participating.
Judy Foreman asked if the group wanted to organize a quilt display for the Arcanum Old Fashioned Days held May 18, 19, 20th. We agreed to the project. Those that can, will meet Friday, May 18th at 9:00am at the Historical Society Building to help set up the quilt display.
